MultiExtractor is an application that allows you to extract/recovery multimedia files. It's an also editor/modifier/patcher, it allows to modify (patch or edit) bitmaps/icons/sounds (wave, mp3...) and other resources in games, databases, screen savers, executable and dll files (*.exe, *.dll, *.ocx, *.ax...). MultiExtractor is different from other extractors! It can also extract all supported formats (stored as resources) from PE-FILES (*.exe, *.scr, *dll, *.ocx, *.ax...). It also extracts directory. It have a very strong filtering options (like icon/image properties, size of files). It can extract (UNPACK/DECRYPT) CRYPTED/PACKED resources of executable files. It allows to copy extracted data into CLIPBOARD! Version 2.xx contains a MULTIMEDIA EXPLORER: DRAG&DROP, fast display of images, JPEG preview displaying (faster), ICON-SHADING (true color icons), mapping mode (saves a lot of time for extract data), multi-selection model (allows to save many selected files), rename resource option. FILTERING SUPPORT: input file extensions, ICON PROPERTIES (size and depth SIEVE: 16x16, 32x32, 48x48..., 32BPP, 24BPP...), IMAGE PROPERTIES (width, height, depth), input and output SIZE of files. MultiExtractor have got VERY STRONG extraction algorithms (IT ALWAYS CALCULATES ORIGINAL SIZE OF FILE AND CHECKS HIS INTEGRITY!!!). It can be used to recovery/restore lost files from SWAP FILES like PAGEFILE.SYS, WIN386.SWP or TEMPORARY/BINARY files (*.TMP, *.BIN).
